Hmmmmm... "Who let the blogs out?"
Hmmmmm... "Who let the blogs out?"
Fact or Fun?
Pew Internet & American Life Project, a research initiative, estimates that 57% of Internet users have watched videos online. And worldwide online video revenue is expected to leap to $4.5 billion in 2012 from $1.2 billion in 2008, according to In-Stat, a market research firm. Web video has been around long enough for businesses to no longer make excuses for not being in
the game.
the game.
What do you think?
Knowing exactly how a video becomes popular can be critical to selling advertising associated with it. The audience for video is growing rapidly; in February, U.S. Internet users viewed more than 10 billion online videos, a 66 percent increase over the same month in 2007

WORLD MEET VRVCO, VRVCO MEET...WORLD!
CHICAGO—(Business Wire)--In the current economic climate, businesses need new ways to access customers and differentiate themselves from their competition in a creative and affordable way. The amount of investment required to reach a large audience is declining rapidly as a result of the intersection of the web and telecommunication industries. Companies can take advantage of this opportunity and simulate the value of broadcast advertising both in reach and quality. A VRV™ can have substantially greater value than more traditional promotion or advertising methods at a fraction of the cost.
VRVCO is a web commercial production company headquartered in Chicago that has developed scalable efficiencies for the creation of web-centric commercial advertising and therefore has significantly cut the cost of traditional production methods. VRVCO has branded their web commercial product as VRV™, which stands for a “virtual recreational vehicle”. This is a play on words and stems from the more traditional production medium of a “movie trailer” advertisement. VRVCO clients can choose from four different VRV™ production options: the Pop-Up, Single, Double-Wide, or Custom.
“While web commercials are still relatively new, VRVCO doesn’t pretend to take credit for their existence or development. Rather than reinvent an existing product or service, we have developed a scalable process by which a web commercial can be produced. In doing so, we’ve been able to provide our customers with something virtually none of our competitors can: a fixed and affordable pricing structure based upon strict internal protocols in relation to price points. While every VRV™ remains a creative and unique production, each different from the next, the price our clients pay remains the same,” says Liam Montgomery, a VRVCO Partner and Creative Director.
“Companies need new and innovative ways to access customers that incorporate multiple mediums and marketing channels. A VRV™ can be used for any promotional activity to increase a customer’s brand awareness and lead generation while, at the same time, staying relevant,” says Bruce Ranney, Senior Vice President of Educators Advancement Group and a VRVCO Board of Advisors Member.
About VRVCO:
A VRV™ (Virtual Trailer, or Web Commercial) is an innovative and interactive way to promote your brand on the web. VRVCO helps clients increase sales and brand awareness, demonstrate a commitment to leading your market, and exhibit creativity in an appropriate and captivating way. In addition, VRVCO’s specialization in this area and rapid turn around can help clients reach an infinite audience (depending upon application and optimization), meet expectations of current and future consumers, and successfully communicate your message with the “short attention span” next generation consumer who won’t commit to READING your web site.
VRVCO’s offerings also include COS™ (Commercial Optimization Services), which helps clients maximize the visibility of their VRV™. While clients should showcase their VRV™ on their own corporate web site, VRVCO can also launch a client’s VRV™ to a multitude of sites, anywhere from mainstream portals (yahoo.com) to industry specific blogs and beyond, as well as to cell phones, PDAs, and laptops.
